Student Assistant — Keeping Wikipedia Up to Date

We, the Coronavirus Structural Task Force at Universität Hamburg, are an international team of scientists. We research the molecules that make up SARS-CoV-2 and allow it to infect host cells. Our homepage, insidecorona.net, provides both other researchers as well as the general public with valuable information on the virus. To support our team, we are currently looking to hire a student assistant that will make sure that the pictures of SARS-CoV-2 in Wikipedia are both - scientifically right and pretty.

Tasks:

• We do illustrations and graphics about SARS-CoV-2. Your part is upload them to Wikipedia and also our own homepage.

Requirements:

• Some experience in media and graphic design
• Experience in updating Wikipedia
• Proficiency in either German or English, written and spoken
• Reliability, thoroughness, and self-reliance

Desirable:

• Basic knowledge in chemistry/biochemistry

Students with previous experience in any of the above tasks are encouraged to apply. You will be supported in your tasks by the rest of the team. Enthusiasm, good English and communication skills are mandatory. You need to be enrolled as a student in a German University. The salary is approximately 12 €/hour.
